THE CREATION
Created by perfumer Guy Robert in 1961, and Hermès' first fragrance for women, Calèche was reinterpreted in 1992 to become Calèche Soie de Parfum, a composition named in reference to the company's emblematic carriage and the silk trade.
THE OLFACTORY NOTES
Floral and aldehydic, Calèche Soie de Parfum combines the refined notes of aldehyde with opulent jasmine and generous rose.
THE OBJECT
Inspired by the lanterns of the carriages of yesteryear, the bottle is topped with a black bonnet echoing the bombshell of the horsemen. The label on the back is illustrated with a drawing by Philippe Dumas, a sign that it belongs to the Parfums-Fondateurs collection.
THE COLLECTION DES PARFUMS-FONDATEURS
The Parfums-Fondateurs collection draws its inspiration from the House's heritage. Each creation encapsulates the Hermès imagination in a name, a fragrance and a colour. Over the years, Hermès has written the pages of a daring perfumery, born of encounters with exceptional perfumers.
Composed by Guy Robert in 1961, Calèche is the house's first feminine fragrance. It is a woody, chypre floral of great femininity, whose name echoes the emblematic Hermès carriage. Calèche is a novel that shines through the beauty of its raw materials, from the gaiety of citrus to the modernity of aldehyde notes, from the floral heart embroidered with ylang-ylang, rose and jasmine, to the woody, chypre trail, underlined by the nobility of iris.
