THE CREATION
Created in 2005, Un Jardin sur le Nil evokes an olfactory journey to the garden islands of Aswan in Egypt. In this composition, perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena tells the story of a river synonymous with life and generosity.
THE OLFACTORY NOTES
Green and woody, Un Jardin sur le Nil blends tangy green mango, delicate lotus and elegant sycamore.
THE OBJECT
Designed by Fred Rawyler, the bottle is inspired by the lines of old-fashioned car lanterns. The glass of the bottle is enlivened by a delicate shading of green, reflecting the banks of the Nile. The box is illustrated with a lotus in flower by the artist Véronique de Mareuil.
ETHICS
The bottle is filled using the 200 ml eau de toilette refill. A gesture, inseparable from an object created to last.
THE PARFUMS-JARDINS COLLECTION
The Parfums-Jardins collection is the result of a meeting between the soul of a place, the inspiration of the perfumer and the theme that Hermès chooses each year to illuminate its creation. It's an olfactory journey to be shared at every moment, for freshness, daydreaming and escapism.
"A new idea of freshness, rather unusual; green and vegetal smells; smells of water and sand". Jean-Claude Ellena
Un Jardin sur le Nil is an impressionist stroll through the garden islands of the Nile at Aswan, the starting point for a new olfactory journey. Green mango, lotus, incense, calamus and sycamore wood are at the heart of this refreshing ode.
