Liu is part of Guerlain's legendary fragrance collection. A collection made up of emblematic fragrances, created over more than a century by 5 generations of perfumers. These legendary fragrances, profoundly innovative for their time, make up a unique olfactory library, an incomparable and unrivalled treasure that the House of Guerlain is committed to preserving.
Liu is an olfactory poem in which aldehydes play one of their most beautiful roles. They dominate the top note and, like cymbals, herald the arrival of rose and jasmine, which brilliantly play the great air of sensuality. Like a work of music, the fragrance must have a calm, voluptuous extension. And that's exactly what it does, as vanilla quickly adds its carnal accents to those of iris and woody notes.
Jasmine: Jasmine grandiflorum absolute comes mainly from India. The flower is first processed into a concrete and then transformed into an absolute. Jasmine grandiflorum, picked at dawn, gives the fragrance a green, fruity jasmine note.
Rose: Harvested in Bulgaria and too delicate to travel, the rose is transformed on the spot into essential oil by steam distillation and/or over direct heat. Rose oil gives the fragrance a floral, fruity note.
