THE CREATION
Un Jardin sur le Toit tells the story of a hidden garden, nestled in the heart of the city, in Paris. It's a patch of nature on the roof of Hermès, at 24, rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré. Created by perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena in 2011, this fragrance pays homage to this garden of pleasure and celebration.
THE FRAGRANCE NOTES
Fruity and vegetal, Un Jardin sur le Toit Eau de Toilette conjures up a crisp apple tree in the Paris air, alongside notes of a juicy pear tree.
THE OBJECT
Designed by Fred Rawyler, the bottle is inspired by the lines of car lanterns of yesteryear. The glass of the bottle comes to life in a bright, luminous green. Philippe Dumas, a member of the Hermès family, illustrated the garden on the case, which offers an unobstructed view of the city.
ETHICS
The bottle is filled using the 200 ml eau de toilette refill. A responsible gesture, inseparable from an object created to last.
THE PARFUMS-JARDINS COLLECTION
The Parfums-Jardins collection is the result of a meeting between the soul of a place, the inspiration of the perfumer and the theme that Hermès chooses each year to illuminate its creation. It's an olfactory journey to be shared at every moment, for freshness, reverie and escape.
"A festive garden, a garden that does as it pleases, bathed in light". Jean-Claude Ellena
Un Jardin sur le Toit is a lively, spicy novel. It tells the story of a secret garden nestled in the heart of the city, in Paris. A hanging garden, perched on the roof of the Hermès building at 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
An apple tree, a pear tree, a magnolia in the Paris air, and wild herbs create this fragrance of light and pleasure, crisp and laughing.
